TEHRAN -- Iranian female Taekwondo expert Aytak Me'mar-Zadeh has been awarded a silver medal in the bantamweight category of the 4th Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships.

Me'mar-Zadeh beat her Taiwanese and Australian opponents, but later succumbed to the Thai competitor 7-8 in the last round and finally ranked second.
Me'mar-Zadeh's victory marks Iran's first ever medal in women’s international Taekwondo competitions.
The fourth Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships commenced on August 22 and are taking place in Amman, Jordan.
